Software Engineer for Cyber Forensics Toolkit Project (Philadelphia area)

 TDI currently has an open position for a secure systems software engineer.  This position will be primarily supporting a multi-year project developing control system software enabling cyber forensic analysis for U.S. Navy Shipboard Machinery Control Systems. The incumbent will design and develop software for the prototype system. As a member of the TDI team, you will have support from SMEs and other members of the team to help you grow and succeed.

 Requirements:

  • Experience in Systems Development
  • Experience in implementing projects from conception to prototype implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Software development experience with strong coding skills is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in systems programming in C.
  • Software development experience with embedded systems is essential.
  • Knowledge of hardware architecture (AMR and x86) and debugging tools is critical.
  • Good understanding of control systems environment and communication protocols
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of computer science, especially architecture, operating systems, and data structures germane to the development of high-quality, efficient embedded system software.
  • Expected to be a quick learner, capable of adapting quickly and learning a variety of mission critical control system technologies.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.  
  • Must have solid understanding of secure systems development
  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline with five (5) years of experience or, in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, ten (10) years of experience

Other Qualifications

  • Experience developing systems software for Machinery Control Systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of FIPS standards and NIST SP800 series is a plus.
  • Experience using software development tools (UML, Rational System Architect, Rational Rhapsody)

Security Requirements

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and either possess a Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Software Developer - Senior and Junior positions (Philadelphia area)

TDI currently has openings for Software Developers - Senior and Junior positions available.  These positions will be primarily supporting a multi-year project developing mission critical control system software enabling superior tactical and technological advantage for the U.S. Navy Ships. The incumbents will be expected to work in fast-paced environment and deliver state-of-the-art mission critical solutions. Incumbents will play a key role in the software architecture, design and development of cost-effective and responsive real-time engineering, scientific and IT solutions utilizing UML Modeling, SysML Modeling, Object Oriented, and Agile methodologies, languages, and techniques. As a member of the TDI team, you will have support from SMEs and other members of the team to help you grow and succeed.

  • Junior UML Modeler Position: Candidate must possess a Bachelor's or, in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, two (2) years of experience. 

Other Qualifications

  • Experience developing UML/SysML models for Control Systems is a plus.
